DesignScene developed the event concept, design and production for Google’s Creative Sandbox at Shoreditch Town Hall.
The result was a dynamic mix of visuality, fun, information and all the practical facilities needed to stage a top level, cutting-edge conference. Attendees were creative, marketing and communications agencies and executives and the the event was designed to showcase the latest Google products and services.
DesignScene also co-ordinated the technical production and aesthetics, which included the installation of spectacular LED light-work around the gallery, setting the scene for the fairground / urban sea-side theme of the day.
We also designed and produced several customised pods, counters and set pieces, staging, giant 10x10m projection system with bespoke video content and then the DJ set, which kicked in during the evening networking session.
The light work, designed by Attila Keskin, featured over 200 VersaTUBE LED battens, which were attached to a scaffolding framework running all the way around the Hall’s gallery, bringing a roller-coaster vibe to the space. The colour, movement, look and patterns brought the installation to life and were provided by video inputs from the VJ.
