Pepsi Max.

London, Edinburgh - UK

DesignScene were asked by ArnoldKLP to produce impactful, sensory experiences for PepsiMAX at a pop up location on Southbank in London, to be repeated during the Edinburg Fringe.

We were also asked to come up with an alternate brand activation for their sponsored areas for two years running at Wireless Festival. The music event attracts 50,000 revellers each day, with headliners including Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dog, Kanye West and Rudimental.

Both deliveries were required to drive intrigue and word of mouth. We were challenged to deliver a real product taste experience, as well as dramatise the product truth of ‘Maximum taste, no sugar’.

For the London and Edinburg pop ups, DesignScene were given a creative starting point of a monolithic black cube, to be filled with interactive, multiple sensory interventions, utilising cutting edge technology.

The cube appeared to float with a glowing blue shadow, while a countdown feature outside heightened intrigue. A 'LiveForNow' hashtag created a social media buzz, before the doors were finally opened to the public.

After making their way through the maze, guests were taken into a final chamber and presented with their own personalised PepsiMAX bottle, with their photo incorporated into the lable.

At the Wireless Festivals, we were required to build a memorable, "place to go" structure, to showcase the PepsiMAX performance stage on large screens, as well as footage of their brand ambassador, magician ‘Dynamo’, interacting with attendees and where he would perform live throughout the day. The following year saw Neon Jungle plus the PepsiMAX Robots taking center stage, jumping to life to surprise and delight attendees throughout the weekend.

“I have worked with Design Scene for a number of years and always involve them in projects that require creative design solutions. Their level of detail and ability to deliver high end production design is second to none. I will continue to use Design Scene as part of my events team, as the fantastic projects delivered simply wouldn't have happened without them on board”
