WHAT DID THE CLIENT WANT?
To create awareness for a new AMC Networks’ show called The Terror, the story of an ill-fated voyage to find the northwest passage between the Arctic and Pacific Oceans.
WHAT WAS OUR APPROACH?
A touring pop-up activation in a shipping container, targeting audiences at relevant cultural festivals.

THE SOLUTION
A fully-immersive experience taking guests on a heart-stopping journey through some of the show’s key moments. We created a script for costumed actors, who guided groups of eight people through the experience.
Starting with an intro in a blackout chamber with concealed video screens, an icy landscape was suddenly revealed behind a roll-up screen. Guests were then asked to climb into a lifeboat, at which point we commenced a dramatic, multi-sensory experience with 360° video mapping, cinema surround sound, freezing wind, fog and snow. Actual costumes and props from the show were used to enhance the experience and for photo opportunities as guests exited.
